Nigel Planer

This is an acrylic on watercolour board painting of Nigel Planer, a British comic actor who is most famous for playing Neil the hippy in The Young Ones.

I don't normally go about painting famous people, but between college and first year uni I needed to teach myself how to paint portraits a bit better. So I did some randoms and found I liked painting in black and white (much like I do in photography) I found a great book and loved this photo so painted from it.

This will probably be the only painting I will ever put on here.
